The grounds were gorgeous, and that crisp edge along the lawn really stood out. Inside, the Columbus Suite had loads of space, a huge bathroom, and a separate dressing room that made it easy to tuck our suitcases out of sight. The bed was super comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. I understand Julia used to be a chef. My boyfriend and I had a lovely, romantic two-night stay.

Julia and Tony are such natural hosts, and the garden is stunning. We were also perfectly placed for Matakana and Omaha Beach. Our room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and had everything we needed, with an incredibly comfortable bed. We had a wonderful stay at Jones Road and couldn't fault a thing.

We loved the peace and found plenty to do nearby. The cottage was immaculate, with a homey but elegant feel, and the fresh flowers and homemade treats were thoughtful touches. The gardens and grounds are incredibly beautiful. Such a gem. It'll be hard to find somewhere comparable for the rest of our holiday.

We'd happily return to Columbus Cottage on our next trip to New Zealand. The cottage sits in a lovely park-like garden and is wonderfully quiet. We spent three great days there, welcomed so warmly by the hosts. The modern kitchen had everything we needed, and breakfast supplies included tea, coffee, homemade jam, shortbread, and granola. Our spacious living and sleeping area was tastefully decorated with bouquets of flowers, and the large bathroom had everything needed for personal care.

Julia and Tony made everything easy, and nothing seemed too much trouble. Julia also performed our wedding ceremony with such a personal touch that it made the day really special. We spent five nights in their beautiful, tasteful, very comfortable accommodation, in a wonderful location. Not to be missed!
