Plume Villas

The pool was a real treat, warm, clean, and salt water. Nick, the manager, was so friendly and helpful, and even jump-started our car twice. We had a divine girls' weekend at Plume Villas. The gardens and property are gorgeous, the villas are beautiful, everything was provided, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We couldn't fault a thing. Highly recommend, five out of five.

The managers are lovely, friendly, and helpful, and having Plume restaurant next door is a wonderful bonus, with great food, service, and outlook. We've stayed at Plume Villas three times and love the whole place. The villas are beautifully presented and so thoughtfully equipped. We enjoy wandering the stunning grounds, and the pool is a lovely oasis to sit beside. It felt surprisingly warm during our December week, though I don't know whether it's heated. My favourite was waking early, opening the curtains and bedroom sliders, and lying in bed watching Tuis in the gardens. It made Auckland city life feel a long way off. There's parking outside each villa, plus a larger carpark at the resort entrance. I can't wait to return.

Breakfast was a highlight too, especially the delicious bacon butties delivered to our room before checkout. We spent two nights at Plume Villas and were impressed right from arrival. The rooms were beautifully appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the service was warm and friendly. Friday dinner at the restaurant was another great experience, with excellent service and fantastic food. We'd highly recommend Plume and will be back soon. We'll tell our friends and family too.

The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, even changing our villa to give us the two single beds we requested. My friend and I had an amazing stay in Matakana. The villa was spacious, with a beautiful view and a very convenient location. We also loved being able to watch F1 on Sky TV. Highly recommend as a go-to spot for family and friends visiting Matakana.
