Kalldeen Lodge is a great choice if you’re after a quiet, relaxed getaway. It’s not in central Napier, but the waterfront is only 10 minutes away. We had a fantastic stay in a spacious, well-appointed room and bathroom, surrounded by a beautiful garden with plenty of fruit trees. The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. If there were a sixth star, Kalldeen would deserve it.

We spent four nights at Kalldeen and are already looking forward to coming back. The rooms were clean and well equipped, and the beds were super comfortable. Lynn and Wayne were attentive while still giving us our privacy. It was a wonderfully relaxing stay, and we highly recommend it.

Kalldeen was such a lovely place to unwind, and we absolutely loved staying there. Lynn and Wayne are wonderful hosts. The water throughout the property was amazing: their filter system conditions and softens it, whether you’re in the spa or using the fabulous rain-head shower. We much preferred it to mains chlorination.

We loved our night here. Lynn even kindly dropped us at the Mission for dinner, and our chalet had a fantastic spa pool in a completely private courtyard. The fridge was stocked with bacon, eggs, and everything else we could have wanted. Lynn and Wayne are amazing hosts, and the accommodation is beautiful, comfortable, and private. They also gave us feijoas, mandarins, limes, and lemons to take home. Their recent award is well deserved. An amazing place for time away, whether it’s a honeymoon, anniversary, or just a treat.

Everything about their lovely "gentlemen's" farm felt spot on, and Wayne and Lynne made us feel so welcome. Our gorgeous one-bedroom cottage had breakfast waiting in the fridge, a cold beer, and a really homey feel. Lynne loves pink as much as I do, which was a fun extra. I only wish we could have stayed a few more days. Go enjoy yourself, stay a while, and explore!
