The location worked well, close to the beach, restaurants and the bus into Nelson. The rooms are a decent size, but ours warmed up fast on a 29 degree day. There was only a desk fan, so it got uncomfortable if you wanted to spend time inside on a hot day. There’s no lift either, so upper floor rooms mean carrying heavy bags up a flight of stairs.

My fiancé and I came down from Auckland for a weekend and had a really good stay. The bed was great, and the room felt both comfortable and private. The water pressure was amazing, and it was very good value. Staff knew the area well and were helpful. When we’re back in Nelson, I wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else.

The free breakfast was a nice extra, and the room had a lovely view across the reserve. It was spacious, spotless and had a large, firm bed. There’s a nature reserve and beach right beside it, with great cafes, restaurants and bars just a minute’s walk away. 10/10, I’ll stay again!

The host made us feel welcome right away, and breakfast was good. We had a roomy bedroom and a very large bathroom, with good water pressure. Restaurants and the beach are right next door, which makes the location handy. The only downside was that the bedroom decor felt a little dated.

Tony greeted us warmly at check-in and was friendly and helpful throughout. We had a comfortable room that was exceptionally clean and stocked with what we needed. The garden setting is beautiful and peaceful, and the location is central to a lovely beach, with places to eat within walking distance. Thanks for a great stay.
