David at reception was a really nice fella and went out of his way to make us happy. He was extremely accommodating, and we appreciated his hospitality. Our group of men and women was in town for a representative sporting fixture and stayed two weekend nights. The rooms were lovely, tidy and quite adequate for what we needed, though not especially roomy. That wasn't a problem since we were hardly there. The kitchen and bathroom were both tidy and adequate, and the grounds were maintained. There was enough parking on the premises. The beach is wonderfully close, and shops, restaurants, bars, parks and other amenities on the main road are just a 7-10 minute walk away.

David, the proprietor, was very obliging. The unit was tiny but clean throughout and adequate for our three nights. It wasn't lavish, which was expected for the modest tariff. We felt we got good value for money and would stay again.

The units worked really well for us, and they were great value. We even extended our stay twice. We’d found the place online before coming to Nelson, and they let us keep our bikes in the garage. Thanks to David and the staff for making the stay better than we expected. I’d happily come back and recommend it.

We ended up staying five nights instead of the three we booked because the ferry was cancelled. It was a quiet, well-placed spot in Nelson, with the beach and restaurants an easy walk away. David was helpful with ideas for places to visit and things to do. We really enjoyed our time there.
