Boutique Motel

The hosts made us feel welcome and I’d happily come back. Stoke is a handy spot, with local amenities nearby and Nelson centre about 10 minutes away. You can hear a little road noise, but it didn’t disrupt our stay.

I had my own private garden, which made the four-night stay feel special. The room was spacious and very clean, and I even appreciated the toilet air freshener. The staff helped me get the best price. Across the road there’s great food, a bar and a supermarket, all easy to reach on foot. I go to Nelson four times a year, and The Boutique Hotel is now my home away from home. Love the place.

The rooms were exactly as advertised, immaculately clean and well organised. My wife and I have stayed here twice, two nights each time, and the communication with the owner was excellent, from our direct booking after seeing it on Bookings.com through to the follow-up before arrival. It’s close to restaurants, supermarkets and a bus stop, with a direct 20-minute ride to Nelson. Both weekends we were there, bands were playing at a couple of public restaurants across the street. We highly recommend this caring, well-located motel.

Those thoughtful little touches made the stay feel special, and I’d gladly recommend the place to anyone wanting somewhere relaxing to unwind. The room was lovely, comfortable and nicely presented. I absolutely loved my stay and would happily return.
