Quest Nelson

It’s a lovely place to stay, but parking caused a lot of hassle. My partner paid for a space, and parking was fine when we first arrived. I drove away for work, then came back later that night to find every space taken, so I parked on the street. We asked for a refund and got it, but I later received a parking fine for parking there. I’d look for somewhere else to park if you want to avoid unnecessary paperwork.

The rooms are clean, great, and have everything you need, but the parking policy is terrible. The man I dealt with at reception was rude and condescending. Two weeks later, I received a parking ticket for checking in and dropping off my bags.

The laundry was useful, and otherwise the stay was okay. But we were promised daily service and didn’t get it. There was a dripping noise from the hot water cylinder every night, and we weren’t given the car park we’d been allocated, which mattered because we had bikes. There’s no bike storage, and the couches were shabby.

A handy central base for a few days in Nelson. The room was well appointed and spotlessly clean, and the staff were super helpful. Great place.
