For the price, this is very cheap accommodation in a good spot, about a 10-minute walk from the centre. The apartments are spacious and the staff are friendly with helpful recommendations. Our flat’s furniture was a little old. It was perfectly okay for what we paid, though some small updates could make it much nicer.

I’m astonished anyone has good things to say about this place. It was dirty and worn, and the hand basin was in the bedroom. We couldn’t even stay the night and went somewhere else. The owner wasn’t lovely at all, she was rude and threatening. Apparently the guests before us had the same experience and left too. Don’t waste your money, because you won’t get it back under their cunning seven-day cancellation policy. Yuk!

The owner, an elderly lady, took good care of me and gave advice on sightseeing, restaurants, trips and who to call. A sea shuttle picked me up at the motel for my Abel Tasman trip. The room was clean and large enough, with all the kitchen facilities. It’s on Trafalgar road, within about a 10-minute walk of the intercity bus, I site, CBD and beach. You can park your car too. The owner lives there, and it works well for solo travelers or families. Such a friendly atmosphere.

The hosts were welcoming and friendly, and the room was cozy and comfortable. I had a perfect night’s stay overall. The shower temperature in room 3 was a bit temperamental, though. Thank you!

Georgina was a helpful, welcoming host. The facilities are great, and the motel is quiet and super comfortable. It’s a lovely old building turned into a great place to stay in the heart of Nelson.
