Handy for the golf course clubhouse, almost right next door, and there are some good places to eat nearby. It was a quiet, comfortable stay, friendly and reasonably priced. The airport is close enough to walk, about 1.7 km away. I’d definitely pick Greens again for an overnight in Nelson.

We appreciated the lift to the airport, which saved time and effort with our bags, and check-in was easy and friendly. The studio was comfortable, well equipped for self-catering, and had a balcony we wished we’d had another night to enjoy. It’s in a quiet part of town within walking distance of the airport, though restaurants and similar places aren’t especially close. A great stay, and the new owners are doing things right.

Our flight was cancelled, so we were stuck in Nelson. We booked this motel online and arrived ten minutes later. The owner was so friendly, upgraded our room and showed us to it. In the morning we were in a rush to get back to the airport, and the owner was happy to drive us down. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable.

I booked a studio but got a two-bedroom apartment instead, so there was heaps of space. It was clean and lovely, with a cosy, quiet feel, and I slept really well. The price was great too. There’s a nice balcony with afternoon sun, and the hairdryer was good.

We needed somewhere for three nights over the weekend in Nelson at short notice for a family funeral, and were glad Greens could fit us in. The room was spotless, comfortable, quiet and had everything we needed. The problem was the glaring walkway light outside. It came through the uncovered bathroom window and the gaps in the blinds, making the room as bright as daylight, so we slept very badly. Sensor lighting and better-directed lights would help. We mentioned it to the man at reception when leaving, but he didn’t seem interested in addressing it.
