Grant was so lovely and checked how we were getting on. Since it was our first time in Taranaki, he also pointed us towards some good places to visit and eat. We stayed two nights with my husband after taking our son to Taranaki for Rugby. The room was beautiful and clean, and the stores we needed were just around the corner. I didn’t get to meet Trina, but hopefully will when we come back next month to see our son. We’ve already booked again, this time with my two other daughters.

We’d book here again without hesitation. The room was modern, clean, and had everything we needed. Reception was very friendly, and there was plenty of free parking in the hotel lot. It’s quiet here, though still not far from downtown.

My bike was stored securely overnight, and check-in was easy with a really friendly welcome. I stayed in a clean, modern, spacious studio apartment at the Dawson, which was very well appointed. The Coastal Walkway, town, and cafes are all just a short walk away, making it a great spot.

We were only there for one night, but it’s a lovely motel. Everything was exceptionally clean, the amenities were well stocked and nice, the beds were comfortable, and the towels were fluffy. Every staff member we met was friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely stay again when I’m in New Plymouth. Thank you 😊

The proprietor went out of their way to help us, even arranging a garage for our e-bikes and adding an extra bed for the two of us. The motel was beautifully spotless. I’d recommend it and will definitely book here again when we return.
