David was so welcoming and helpful, and made us feel at home. We loved our stay. The guest house is close to coffee shops, restaurants, a grocery store, and the Devonport ferry terminal, all just minutes away. We stayed three nights after arriving in Auckland and were so glad we chose it. Our room was at the front of the house but still quiet, and the rooms were a good size with comfortable beds. There was tea and coffee available and a nice sitting area.

The room was very spacious, with high ceilings and a huge bathroom, but it could get chilly because the heating was weak or didn’t seem to work properly. This is a nice guest house close to Devonport centre, with plenty of good cafés and restaurants nearby and the ferry to downtown Auckland close by too. Noise was the downside for me. Most rooms face the street, which gets busy around 5am, and my room was beside the entrance, so I heard guests coming and going.

The comfortable bed made for my best sleep, and our cosy room had views across to Auckland City. It’s just a short walk and ferry ride away. Although we expected morning traffic at this centrally located Guest House to wake us, it was surprisingly quiet. A relaxing stay with modern conveniences and a touch of yesteryear.

It’s an easy walk to lots of cafés, restaurants, and other shops. The proprietors seem to have thought of everything for a pleasant stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was great, the towels were lovely and fluffy, and they’d left nice little treats by the bedside. I can’t imagine what could have made the stay better. A great place in Devonport.

This was a gem of a find in Devonport. The restored villa is beautiful, the rooms immaculate, and the management friendly. Communication was great, the location was excellent, and nights were nice and quiet. Our friends from NewYork were super impressed too. Highly recommended!
