Parking right outside the room was easy and felt secure, which made coming and going simple. The motel is handy for town, with shops, cafés, and everyday essentials within walking distance, and it's easy to get to. The room wasn't large, but the layout made good use of the space, so it felt cosy rather than cramped. It was warm and clean, with a comfortable bed, good heating, reliable Wi-Fi, and the practical things we needed. A peaceful, good value place to stay in Oamaru.

The reception and some of the rooms had a strange smell, and the owner/receptionist kept trying to get more money from me. My credit card was charged several times without my permission. The central location is the only good thing I can say about this place. Worst establishment I've ever stayed at.

The staff were wonderful and paid close attention to what we needed throughout our week-long stay. Our room was warm, comfortable, and set up well for a longer visit. It's also well placed for town and various services. Everything about the stay was positive, and we'll definitely use them again.

The other Bella Vista Motels we've stayed at during our trip have been fantastic. This one was over $360 a night for a very small room, and the woman at reception was rude and acted like she didn't care. I agree with Zane that it was way overpriced.

It was quiet, with great cafés and shops nearby. The customer service was outstanding. Highly recommend.
