The welcome and hospitality from the staff were top notch. I felt looked after like I was in a five-star luxury hotel, and I'm so grateful to everyone. Every facility, including the shared common area, was spotless, and the cooking equipment was great, with some pieces nearly new. Five stars doesn't feel like enough for LKNZ Lodge. Thanks to them, we had a relaxing stay before and after the Whanganui Journey.

The mountain view from our warm, comfortable room was lovely, and Ohakune is an excellent location. Late check-in was easy thanks to the clear instructions. We met a few staff members in the morning, and they were lovely.

The café was very good, and the full breakfast was the best part. Good value for money, with all the basics: our room had a double bed, private bathroom, and a small kitchen area with a microwave, kettle and toaster.

The location made things easy: we could walk to the shops, and the walks we wanted to do were only a short drive away. They upgraded our room since there weren't many bookings, which was a nice surprise. We arranged a late check-in, and the staff were great over the phone and when we checked out. Finding our room was no trouble either. We had a lovely stay and will definitely come back if we need somewhere in Ohakune.

We booked two rooms for our group of eight and had a great stay at LKNZ. It was quiet, clean and well equipped, and the kitchen had all the essentials for cooking. We enjoyed dinner together before heading up to the snow mountain the next day. A peaceful, comfortable place to stay.
