Kingfisher Retreat

Waking up to all the birds in the country was the best part. The place was modern, clean, tidy, and had everything we wanted. We stayed for over a week and will definitely come back. The children loved seeing the chickens around the property, and we visited the bird aviary each day. Flynn the dog came by most days, and the two cats often stopped for a smooch. Brendon and Louise were awesome, and the breakfast things they provided were fantastic. Can't recommend it enough, 5 out of 5.

Flint, their dog, was super friendly, and Louise and Brendon were really attentive without hovering. They got the balance right and let us enjoy our stay. The accommodation was spotless, modern, and peacefully set away from the family home. We'll definitely be back!

The owners were friendly and happy to share tips for exploring the local area, which made this a great base for getting around. The lodge sits in an avocado orchard and is spacious and modern, with a large living room, a fully functional kitchen, a full size bathroom, and two double bedrooms. We thoroughly recommend it for families or couples.

We only managed one night, though it would be easy to stay much longer. It was comfortable, warm, spacious, and had some lovely extras waiting for us, including muffins, breakfast cereals, nespresso, and yogurt. There were three of us, two adults and one child, and it would also suit a family of four or two couples. Wonderful, highly recommended.
