The rooms were great, and they upgraded us, which was very sweet. Staff were friendly, and check-in and checkout were easy. If you just want to relax, eat and head to the beach, it works well. The beach is close, there are a few places to eat, and the bus starts and finishes right outside. Getting farther around the island to visit places can take longer, though. There isn't proper air conditioning, just a fan and a cooler. It got hot at night, so we moved both into our room. Service beyond the easy check-in and checkout isn't much, and you have to carry your bags yourself over the stony ground and up the stairs.

The room was tidy and clean, with the essentials, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The location opposite the beach was amazing, with a few restaurants nearby that I’d recommend. Loved our stay and would come again.

We were only here for one night, and it’s one of the better places we’ve stayed. The location is amazing, just a three minute walk to the beach, with three local restaurants and a cafe around the corner. There are beautiful beaches for swimming and long walks. Waiheke is expensive everywhere, but this felt worth it for the spot. It’s family accommodation with different room sizes. We had a room for two, with a good sized bed, and the clean, tidy lounge, dining area and kitchenette had everything we needed. There’s a washer dryer. The owners were friendly. The bathroom is tiny and needs an upgrade, and the shower drain was cracked.

I was on the island for a wedding and was really glad to find such a comfortable, quality bed. It’s a rare thing. The room was fantastic, and the location was brilliant, right beside the beach and cafes.

The staff were really nice and accommodating, and my daughter had fun with the beach toys. The apartment has charming decor and its own laundry, and the location near the beach and restaurants is a 10/10. We’d wondered if the construction at the property might bother us, but it didn’t. After seeing more of the island, I can safely say I wouldn’t have wanted to stay anywhere else.
