Ascot Motor Lodge

Being directly across from the hospital makes this a really convenient place to stay, especially if you’re visiting or have a relative admitted. I arrived early and was able to leave my car there before check-in, which helped a lot. Staff were accommodating and quick to assist when I needed it. It’s very affordable compared with other places nearby.

Timothy and Harriet Christchurch Thanks, Ascot, for fitting us in at short notice and making it such a pleasant stay. Everything we needed was there, the amenities were very clean, and the customer service was really good. The price was very competitive, too. We’ll happily stay again next time we’re in Wellington. Many thanks

We were so grateful for how warmly the Ascot team helped us. Our ferry got us into Wellington at 11:30pm, and Ascot was the only place to respond and welcome us so quickly. The manager had already gone to bed, but still came out without complaint and prepared Room 12 for us. We found out later the motel was fully booked that night, and a guest had only just checked out, which is why we were able to get a place to rest. The room was tidy and clean, and parking was easy. We had to go to the hospital at 6:30am the next morning. The same lovely woman kindly kept our luggage safe at the front desk. We’re very thankful for everyone’s kindness and help. If we return to Wellington, we’ll definitely stay here again. Heartfelt thanks!

The rooms are pretty nice and modern, and restaurants are within walking distance. But in room 11 the WiFi kept disconnecting every few minutes. It showed two bars out of three at best, and I never saw full strength.
