Wai-knot Accommodation

The buildings are gorgeous, carefully styled, and set in an amazing garden with lots of thoughtful touches. Friday night was peaceful and really enjoyable. But the layout felt more like hostel accommodation than glamping. Our “private room” was in the same unit as the bathroom shared by all guests. I hadn’t understood that from the photos, and if I’d known, I’d have preferred one of the caravans. Saturday night was let down by other guests partying into the early hours. We asked them to turn off their music at midnight, but people kept going in and out of the bathroom and toilet, switching on lights and slamming doors until 2am, right by our room.

The trees, ferns, flowers and birds make for such a relaxing, unique stay, and there are so many thoughtful touches. The owners are lovely and friendly. The caravans are clean, comfortable and super-cool, and the common room, kitchen, deck, showers and washrooms have everything you could want and more. Loved it here and would love to come back!

The garden is fantastic, full of native birds, and a lovely place to sit with a bottle of wine and relax. We booked two caravans for Saturday night and found them really comfortable. It’s a nice idea, though the caravans aren’t self-contained, with showers and toilets in a separate block. There’s also accommodation in the same block as the shared bathrooms. Personally, I wouldn’t like having someone else use the bathroom just outside my front door.

We loved our caravan and the whole stay at Wai-Knot. It was clean, warm and cosy, and Sally-Anne was a really helpful, lovely host. Thanks for such a cute little stay on Waiheke Island. Highly recommend it when you're on WI!
