The location was lovely, and we had a wonderful stay that we'd happily repeat. A couple of things did get in the way: the lockbox wasn't working, so we had no house key and had to leave the house unlocked whenever we went out. We also had to wash the pots and pans before we could use them.

We had a great break from Auckland, staying right by the beach. It felt like the honeymoon scene from the Twilight series, and the place matched the photos. A thumbs-up from us.

The Hokianga is the best. Everyone seems to head up the east coast and overlook the west. Their loss.
