Peter & Helen were great hosts, there when we needed them and taking our rubbish away every couple of days. The treetop apartment was spacious and well equipped, with a comfortable bed and a great shower. Its view made me smile each morning. The TV is small, though it has plenty of channels and on-demand options, and the reclining chairs are really comfortable. We were grateful for the communal washer and dryer too.

The Palms was a first class stay for the several nights I spent there. The hosts were very accommodating. It’s peaceful, with a beautiful view, and still just a short stroll into town. I’d highly recommend it.

We got to cook a full meal in the well-stocked kitchenette, which was a welcome change from eating out after weeks of travel. The treetop place is quiet and romantic, yet close to everything, with easy parking. One of the finest stays we had in NZ.

We had lovely views across the bay from the verandah. The place was well equipped and well located, about a 10 minute walk from Russell ferry and the town centre.

We could watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks perfectly from the deck at The Palms. The accommodation was gorgeous and had everything we needed. Paihia CBD is a two-minute walk away, and Helen and Peter are both lovely. Highly recommended!
