Peppertree Lodge - Hostel

The location was amazing, and the woman at the counter was really helpful during our week-long stay. Still, there were a few issues. The WiFi didn’t work for us at all, and our private room, which we paid extra for, connected to the common room and was very noisy. I kept waking up itchy from sand flies in the room, and there were stains on the pillowcases. I wouldn’t stay again, though it seemed like the dorms might be a good option.

The rooms were nice, and there was good outdoor seating. The hostel was mostly clean, with a cosy lounge and an alright kitchen.

The four-person dorms had comfortable beds, lockers, and plenty of space. The kitchen was also large and easy to use, even with several people cooking at once. The hostel is close to the beach and an easy walk from whatever you need. We arrived after office hours and found the room key and a map showing where to go left in a convenient, easy-to-access spot.

The outside area was lovely for relaxing or having a BBQ, and the kitchen and common room were clean and pleasant, with a TV and books. The shared space closes at 11 pm, but there are pubs nearby and the beach is just down the street. I started in a clean private room with a good shower, bathroom, and beds, then moved to a dorm, which was just as nice. One of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed in.
