Dinner at the Cobb restaurant was great value, and the portions were generous. The 500 g steak was $29, a really nice cut with nothing to trim off. The seafood chowder was $21 and came in a big bowl with seafood and vegetables. We didn't need the extra bowl of chips because the meals were already so large. Definitely recommend.

The front of house service was great, and I usually have an awesome time dining here. The cleaning staff deserve a thank you too. The steaks could arrive more promptly, and I'd prefer fewer carrots. With those changes, it would've been better than good.

The adult meals were a good size, and tonight's chicken with mash and fresh vegetables was a yummy change from chips. My 11-year-old was a bit short on food with just two chicken tenders and chips, but he shared from my plate and had dessert with his combo, so he was happy in the end. Would dine here again. Thanks.

We watched the rugby on the big screen, and there were enough other screens to get a good view from anywhere in the bar. The atmosphere was great, and the food was excellent. We had seafood chowder, crispy pork belly, and rump steak. The portions were good, and the steak was cooked perfectly.

I've been coming to the Cobb often, and I'll keep coming back because I love the steak meal and haven't found another place that seems worth trying. The front of house team always looks after us well, and the presentation and meals are outstanding. I do think the kitchen could make a few changes, though. I like my steak well done, but it often comes out hard and chewy. Once, when I asked if it could be tenderised, they did a great job. I don't want to seem fussy when ordering the $16.50 steak meal, since I can only eat up to 200 grams. I know it's cheap, but I'd happily pay $20 for more fries and salad. The salad used to change a lot when I first came in 2024, which was good if you didn't like having the same one. Lately I've often left it on the plate. It's mostly carrots with a little purple and white cabbage and what might be lemon zest, and feels like a waste for both the restaurant and us. The lettuce salad you make sometimes is much better than mostly carrots with one lettuce leaf underneath. Hope this feedback helps for the future. I think things may change someday :)
