Colonial Motel

We keep choosing this motel because it’s close to everything we need and the owners make each visit feel special. On our latest trip, we called the morning before heading to Auckland for New Year and found them easy to talk to and very accommodating. When we arrived at 3 p.m., we were greeted with a smile and given a larger unit with a separate bedroom for the same price as a studio. They remembered my husband’s shoulder injury from our yearly visits and had put us in a room with a soft mattress topper to help. Our host showed us around the beautifully updated unit, with double-glazed windows and a door. The busy road used to be a problem, but now there was barely any outside noise. John came by to welcome us when he got back. Thanks to you both for another comfortable, pleasant stay. We’ll see you again midyear.

We’ve stayed at this motel a few times and it’s been consistently clean, comfortable, private, and equipped well enough for our needs. You can hear a little road noise at busy times, but otherwise it’s quiet and pleasant. Definitely recommend.

Mr and Mrs. Park were warm hosts, and their welcome made our first visit to New Zealand memorable. The motel was very clean, well kept, and easy to get around. I’d highly recommend it as a place to stay in Auckland. 5/5.

The motel staff were nice, and the room had modern furniture and a pleasant bathroom. It was roomy enough for what we needed and very clean. Though it’s near the motorway exit, we hardly noticed the traffic.
