We’ve stayed here twice, and the new owners were friendly. They run another accommodation too, so we called when we arrived and they came over without a long wait. It was about $165 NZD for the night. The rooms are freshly renovated and really well furnished. Loved the couches, and the beds were great. There’s a smart TV with all the apps and fast free Wi-Fi. Every room has air con, and the big shower came with toiletries for sensitive skin. The kitchen was fully equipped with appliances. Some rooms further back look pretty rough, but they belong to other owners. This place is a hidden gem, definitely recommend it.

The kitchen and bathroom had been renovated, and those were the only good parts. One bedroom had a door leading somewhere else, locked from the other side, and the back of the motel looked messy and strange. They also marked my booking as “canceled” on booking.com, so I couldn't leave a rating there. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The suites have all been renovated and everything felt new. The area seemed a little dodgy, but we didn't run into any problems. There are other rooms in the complex that look very run down, though they're owned separately. Reception isn't always staffed, so you might need to call the number and wait 5-10 minutes for someone to arrive.
