Breakfast was a real treat, with lots of tasty things, including fruit from their garden, honey and eggs from their own bees and chickens, and freshly baked bread. The accommodation was so clean and well cared for that it felt like we were the first guests. We had a lovely chat with Dean and Louise, who were very helpful, and the hosts were wonderful. We only had one short night here and wished we could have stayed longer.

We wished we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of home-grown food and fresh bread, and the property really lives up to New Zealand’s Tiaki Promise. Everything was spacious and spotlessly clean. Even though we arrived late, we were welcomed so warmly by the kindest hosts. Thank you, Dean and Louise! Maria and Stefan from Linz, Austria

Wren, Louise & Dean's Brittany Spaniel, was a special highlight for us. She helped when we were missing our dogs. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the peaceful setting was great for good conversation and delicious food. Louise and Dean were so generous with their hospitality. We also loved all the thoughtful touches, like their own honey, and appreciated the work they put into sustainability and the environment. The place sits up on a hill, looking over lovely countryside with their sheep and chickens, out toward the Tasman Sea and along the Kapiti Coastline. There’s a lot to explore nearby, so I’d recommend staying at least 2 or 3 nights. Aston Rd Villa makes a great base for seeing the region.

We were sorry to leave after three nights. Louise and Dean were great hosts, and breakfast each morning was good. The rooms were lovely and modern, with really comfortable beds. It’s an absolutely beautiful place to stay. Steve Burton
