It's very clean and in a great location, but I didn't enjoy the facilities or atmosphere. The rooms feel cramped, without enough shelves or power sockets for everyone, and the kitchen has the same space problem. There was hardly any cutlery, too few pots and pans, and it was quite dirty because people didn't clean up after themselves. Food storage and places to sit and eat were limited as well. The room toilets could use more additions. With so many people staying longer or working there, the rooms can feel like you're visiting somebody else's space, almost like a boarding school where everyone has a spot. I wouldn't feel comfortable here for a short stay.

The staff are friendly and helpful, and gave me information about things to do in Queenstown. The hostel's kitchen is large and has what you need, though there may not be enough tables for meals. I really liked the shared lounge with its sofa and poufs. The room was big enough for four, and the en-suite shower and toilet were always clean. A really nice hostel.

The location is great, but I was disappointed by the rest and felt it cost too much for what it offered. The private rooms are inside dorm rooms, which could work if there were enough facilities for all ten people. With just one sink in the room that has the single shower, I waited 35 minutes just to wash my hands or brush my teeth. They should address this, especially given the number of similar reviews.

The room was tidy, clean, and not crowded, with a nice view too. The receptionist was especially friendly and accommodating. I forgot to collect my deposit when checking out, and she even made a note about it.
