The reception service was slow and unhelpful. It gave the impression that you were expected to know everything already, and staff just pointed to brochures or printed information they’d provided. I don’t understand why the accommodation and reception are in two different places. If you’re taking public transport, you’ll need bus 11 to reach the accommodation, and it costs $5.50. The place itself is nice.

There’s no reception, so when nobody is around to welcome you or show you to your room, you’re left wondering if you’re even in the right place. My partner and I were put in a room next to another family, separated by a locked door. That might have been fine, but our neighbours kept trying to open it, which was agitating. There’s no air conditioning, just a fan. The rooms are small and heat up quickly. There was barely anything to watch on the television either. If all you want is a room to drop your bags in before exploring beautiful Queenstown, this may suit. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend it.
