The Ridge Resort

We loved relaxing in the hot tub each afternoon, then coming in to warm up by the fireplace. The place felt like a home away from home, comfortable and laid back, with spacious, self-contained accommodation rather than a hotel feel. The location worked well with a car, since nothing was too far away. We’ll be back.

Snowy mountains and the lake make a stunning view from this lovely resort, right across the road.

We’ve stayed here quite a few times and it always feels homey. Great location and plenty of space, plus the spa. Late checkout is fabulous if you can get it.

A car is pretty much essential, though there’s a bus at the bottom of the hill. The house was comfortable and convenient for Frankton, the airport and central Queenstown. We had a nice three-bedroom place with a full kitchen, including an oven and dishwasher, plus a spa pool and fireplace. The views were magnificent, and it worked really well for a family holiday.
