Getting around is easiest by car or bus, and you'll need a bee card for the bus. The nearest stop is about a 6-7 minute walk away, though you can walk places if the weather cooperates. There's also a lakeside track you can access directly from the property. The view is lovely to wake up to and enjoy at the end of the day. Heated bathroom floors and a stainless steel frying pan were nice surprises.

The sunrise views were breathtaking, captured on a pixel 10 pro with no filter or enhancements. The owners and people running the place were really friendly and checked in to make sure we were looked after. The price was reasonable at the time of this review. One issue: the shower curtain isn't long enough, so water gets everywhere and you'll go through a lot of the towels they provide. They do give you plenty. I can't recommend the place enough and we'll definitely be back. Thanks for such an amazing stay 🙂

We loved our stay. The views are amazing, and there's a walking track right beside the property for an easy stroll into town. The kitchenette was handy, the super was amazing, and having warm bathroom floors was so good.

The location is a mix of great and frustrating: the lake and snowcapped mountain views are magnificent and town is close, but Frankton Rd can be a real pain between 4-6pm on weekdays. We were lucky enough to stay here twice before, and little has changed. The furnishings are still high quality and very comfortable. You pay a premium for those east-facing views, but the bedding, lounge, dining space and kitchen are all comfortable too. We could easily have stayed a couple of weeks. Reception is no longer onsite, and the property is now managed centrally by Hello Queenstown. We'd stay again in a heartbeat.

The 3-bedroom villa gave our family loads of space, and waking up to lake and mountain views each morning was pure magic. It's also convenient for getting into town, less than a 15-minute drive to all the action. The staff replied promptly through Booking.com messages too. Villa de Lago was a perfect base for our amazing Queenstown family trip. Highly recommend!
