We were in room 13 after arriving late on Friday, and the place was spotless. Towels, face cloths, toiletries, milk, water and even a hairdryer were all there, with lovely attention to detail. The bed was comfortable, the pillows soft, and the shower was awesome. It’s in a great spot in Rolleston, too. We’d called ahead about our late flight, and the service was amazing. A couple of things could be better: the bathroom door was heavy, squeaked, and needed a wedge to avoid opening and closing it all the time. We could hear noise from upstairs more than expected in a new build. Next time, we’d ask for an upstairs room or one of the single units opposite if possible. Really lovely place to stay.

I needed a quiet room and a decent night’s sleep before a medical appointment in Christchurch, and Brookside Accommodation was just right. The surroundings were peaceful, the lighting was good, and the shower had excellent pressure. Getting into Christchurch by car was straightforward, so it worked well as a base. The unit was clean and welcoming, with friendly hosts and modern appliances that made self-catering easy. VERY good value for money. I’d definitely book again when I need somewhere in the Christchurch area.

We had everything we needed to eat in the room and reheat food, and the bed was cosy with a spacious shower. Rolly Thai next door had great takeaways, and town was about a 10 minute walk away. The host was charismatic and made us feel welcome.

Quiet, clean, and an easy, enjoyable stay. The bed was so comfortable, and the shower was outstanding. Exactly what you want from a good motel. We’ll definitely be back, and highly recommend it.

The location worked really well for us, close to Rolleston amenities and the family we were visiting. The managers were friendly, and on Christmas Day they let our kids pick a little gift from under the tree. Such a nice touch. We stayed at Brookside Motel over Christmas, soon after it opened last month. Everything was modern and well kept, even the bedside table phone chargers. Loved the big shower, too.
