We stayed in the three-bedroom apartment on 19/12/25, and it was the worst place I’ve ever encountered. I was bitten while asleep that night, and my family members had the same experience. It seemed like there were fleas or bed bugs in the beds. The apartment also wasn’t clean. For example, there was dust on the toilet roll holder. There was no shampoo or soap ready in the bathroom, no shower caps, and very few face towels. We couldn’t find extra blankets during the night when it got cold. The oil heaters were too small to warm the space, and the sofa and dining chairs looked old and unclean.

We got our booking dates wrong, but the owner flatly refused any kind of refund. They offered us a smaller room that looked awful and was so cramped you could hardly move. We ended up finding a whole house for less money. Avoid this place, you can get much more for what you pay.

After travelling all the way from Cape Reinga, we were glad to get a hassle-free check-in and somewhere to rest. The location was handy, close to everything. Our room looked a little tired, but it was clean.

The welcome was really friendly, and the location was great for shops and restaurants. But the room was tiny and crammed with too much furniture, leaving nowhere for our suitcases. The pillows were flat and small, like cot pillows, and the bathroom was so cramped that washing your hands in the basin was difficult. I wouldn’t stay here again.

We were only here for one night, and the small room suited us. The big plus was how close it is to the town centre. If you’re expecting five-star accommodation, you should look elsewhere.
