Star and Manika made the service stand out, welcoming us at check-in and check-out, serving breakfast and helping arrange dinner in town with such ease and professionalism. The hotel is a little outside town, but it made for a relaxing getaway and lovely views of Rotorua's natural beauty, including the geothermal steam rising off the lake. The lake views from the hot tub and spas were stunning, and those areas were pristine and luxurious. Our room was large, comfortable and thoughtfully appointed, and the gardens were beautifully kept. Breakfast was made to order each morning and excellent. The setting felt peaceful and elegant, and we'd happily stay again.

The meals were all excellent, two breakfasts and one dinner, and the staff in the dining area switched our dinner booking without any fuss when we decided we'd rather eat in on the first night. They were welcoming and extremely helpful at both check-in and in the dining facilities. The rooms and view were wonderful. The decor was a little glitzy, not what I'd normally pick, but still tasteful.

The property is beautiful, right on the lake, and breakfast with that view was lovely. We absolutely loved our stay at the Black Swan. The owner and all the staff were incredibly kind, accommodating and helpful. A small detail I loved was the phenomenal bathroom products. We also enjoyed the nostalgic DVD collection and had a great time choosing a movie to watch.

We took some visiting family to Rotorua for a few days last holiday so they could experience the local tourism city, and staying at the Black Swan Hotel was the best choice we've made. We really enjoyed the hotel's unique atmosphere and beauty, and we'll definitely come back next time.

The dinner was a highlight of our two nights at the Black Swan, the best meal we had during our week on the island. We were in a lakefront room, so the views were another standout. Ivy and Monica gave exceptional service and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a lovely stay, and we'd definitely come back on a future visit.
