Mike and Peter made this B&B special. They were happy to answer questions, offer guidance about New Zealand, and chat with us over breakfast about the local culture and area. They also had guides, could help book the main attractions, and offered a discount on tickets. When smoke from a bonfire at a Maori show got into our clothes, they washed them until the smell was completely gone. My wife and I stayed three nights on our honeymoon and felt at home. We had a private bathroom, and the room was clean, tidy, and had what we needed. The jacuzzi was available until 10:00 p.m. It’s a quiet, pleasant area, well placed for local sights, with restaurants and shops a five-minute walk away. There’s parking with video surveillance; it isn’t private parking, but it made us feel completely safe. Breakfast was delicious, freshly made, plentiful, and different each day, with enough variety for both of us. You could tell the hosts put care into the food and are first-class cooks. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Thank you so much, and we hope to meet again in New Zealand or Spain.

Peter and Mike were welcoming from the moment we arrived and made us feel at home. We stayed in the en-suite room ‘Hijau’, tastefully decorated, with patio doors opening onto the sun deck and spa area. It was a lovely spot to sit and unwind. The house is well placed for visiting the area’s sights, just a few minutes’ walk from the city centre and lakeside. I hadn’t known about the Homestay idea before coming, and it took us a little while to get used to sharing the house with the owners. We settled in, though, and really enjoyed breakfast with our hosts and the other guests. Sharing a table was a nice way to meet people and hear about their experiences, and the breakfasts were great too.

Breakfast with Peter and Mike was a lovely way to hear about New Zealand culture instead of just staying in an ordinary hotel. They made us feel at home and were excellent hosts. The house is central, so it’s a handy base for the city's attractions. My room had a well-stocked mini bar with snacks and drinks at reasonable prices, and Peter did a load of laundry for a small fee. I’d happily recommend this Rotorua bed-and-breakfast.

We visited on our honeymoon in November 2022, so this review is very late. Peter and Mike were welcoming and helpful, including with planning our stay. Breakfast was superb, and the outdoor area with a hot tub and deck chairs was a nice extra. We had a lovely time and would recommend it.

Mike's cooked omelette at breakfast was divine, and the hosts were really helpful with local attractions. The B&B is just a few minutes' walk from everything you need, with a private sunny courtyard that has a spa and sauna. The place was spotless, beautifully presented, and every detail seemed taken care of. Rotorua was a great destination, made even more magical by staying here.
