Wylie Court

The kids enjoyed the fun room, and I appreciated the spa in our room and how clean it was. The cleaning staff were lovely and friendly. Still, some things needed upgrading, like the towel rails and staircase, and the spa area could probably use a water blast. I booked two months ahead to get a corner room and confirmed by phone, but we were put right in the middle. I also couldn't find a designated smoking area, which I assume was because of the construction.

The construction made it impossible to relax during the day, and it affected several days of our stay. There was no alternative room available. We were only told shortly before arrival that there would be “some” work near the pool, but a full building project was happening right beside the rooms. Trucks, materials being unloaded, and workers created ongoing noise from as early as 7:30 am. The scale of the work, how close it was, and the early starts weren't properly disclosed before the cancellation deadline. The front desk staff were polite, but that didn't make up for the disruption. For the price, it was very poor value. I'd strongly advise against staying while construction is underway.

The little hot water pools were great, and we had a good time overall. Our neighbors were partying and got very loud and aggressive after 11 pm. Reception was really nice when we called, and clearly tried to help, but couldn't do much because they ignored him. I'd absolutely go back.

The room was spacious for our family group, clean, and having our own warm geothermal pool was lovely. But the door wouldn't lock, and they couldn't fix it for days, so we had to work out a way to get in through the back to keep our belongings safe. Customer service was pleasant but didn't help, and didn't seem to care about the experience or put things right, even though this was a serious issue. There were smaller things missing too: nowhere to hang wet towels, creaky floors, and no safe. Wylie Court has plenty of potential, but our stay could have been better.
