Tiki Tiki Ora

This is our third time here, so we know what the place is like. The hosts are friendly, helpful, and always have good suggestions. They really understand hospitality. The house sits on a hill, with a gorgeous view from sunrise to sunset. The rooms are comfortable, perfectly clean, and give you all the privacy you need, including a private bathroom. Breakfast is a proper menu, and a lovely chance to spend time with Mark and Angelique. Let the magic happen, you'll feel really good here.

The views and quiet made this a lovely break from our busy Auckland life, and the hosts made us feel at home and comfortable. The breakfasts were outstanding and made our stay even more enjoyable. The thoughtful attention to detail completed a perfect getaway.

By the time we left, I couldn't bear the thought of going, and we cut it rather close making our flight. Mark and Angelique were so gracious and wonderful that I hope they'll be friends for life. They have lived all over the world and travelled extensively, and their top drawer hospitality shows it. We arrived at Tiki Tiki Ora feeling sure I'd picked the perfect place for our last few nights in New Zealand. Mark greeted us with a big smile, and Angelique welcomed us inside and offered a generous glass of Pinot noir to wash off the travel dust. After a quick chat and getting our luggage settled, Mark booked us the last table at one of the top restaurants in town. We came back tired but well fed to a welcoming room with plenty of towels, cozy bathrobes, slippers, and fast wifi. The next morning, breakfast was laid out on the deck. Looking across the bay, we tucked into eggs, salmon, croissant, cereals, and more. Mark and Angelique had plenty of ideas for how to spend the day, whether we wanted to do a lot or take it easy. On Angelique's suggestion, we bought fresh oysters and had an alfresco lunch in the gazebo with wine and that wonderful view. She'd also arranged rose petals in a heart on our bed, somehow finding out that the trip was for our anniversary. The property has views from every corner, fast, free wifi, a five star breakfast, extremely comfortable beds with top quality linens, large private bathrooms with heated towel racks and a separate floor heater, and a great shower with good pressure, hair dryer, shampoo, and more. There's plenty of room for luggage and a private balcony for each room, with plenty of privacy for romance. The enormous gazebo could suit a small wedding or celebration. It's easy to reach from the Opua car ferry and excellent value for money.
