We stayed two nights as two couples in Room 5. One bedroom had a queen bed and the other had singles. When I asked, I was told the second bedroom in every room has single beds, so check before booking if that setup doesn't suit you. The rooms were okay, but none of us found the beds comfortable. The bathroom needs an update: the wet floor shower sprayed water everywhere, and the fittings looked original from the 80s. This is a budget motel with no frills or extras. The toilet paper and soap came from commercial dispensers, and there was no shampoo, conditioner, or body wash. The kitchen had a microwave, jug, toaster, and fridge, but no way to cook. It did the job, though I wouldn't return.

Helpful, friendly staff and a short walk to the beach and shops/cafe made this a good stay. The room was clean and spacious, with a quiet, comfortable super kingsize bed. There was enough kitchenware to make breakfast, plus TV and Netflix options we didn't use. We'd stay again.

The room was presented very nicely, and the air conditioning was a lifesaver upstairs, where it felt like a Swedish sauna. It was a quiet night, the other guests were considerate, and there was a door tag to request morning room service, which I declined since I was only there for two nights. On arrival, I couldn't spot a clear sign for reception and had to go through the pub to find the counter. The person there seemed more interested in whether I'd join the in-house pub meal tonight than in welcoming me. It's a bit out of the way. Otherwise, an okay stay 😐

We found this place for a weekend away and thought it was good value. The rooms were nice, the food was good, and the bed was comfortable. There was no breakfast available, but a good cafe is just up and to the right in a small arcade of shops.

Pretty disappointing. The tall guy with curly hair barely smiled and didn't make us feel welcome. Having worked in hospitality, I think smiling and making guests feel welcome matters, but he seemed like he hated being there and didn't want to serve anyone. Salty dog inn, please do better. Sad to see.
