Glad we stayed here for a night. With the road so close, I expected noise, but it was really quiet. Lake Taupo is right across the way, with miles of lakeside walking, and the sunset is great. The rooms are OK, and it looks like the toilets have just been upgraded. One thing that could be better is the carpark lighting, since it gets quite dark without sensor lights. The owner was friendly, very helpful, and had lots of information for tourists.

This place was a godsend when I got really sick in Taupo. Ross is a great host and owner, and the stay was superb. It's a hidden gem. I'll definitely come back. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Thanks, Ross, for another lovely few days with my elderly clients. The ground-level rooms made access easy, and the place is close to town. Sorry about the mozzies in the bathroom. I left the window open and the light on all night. Blessings.

The units were tidy, and the managers friendly. We stayed on a quiet night and slept like a log. Basic accommodation but excellent value for money. Dogs are welcome in some rooms.

A fabulous stop in Taupo. The owner was really friendly and the location was great. We stayed with our two girls and small dog. The room was simple but very clean and had what we needed. The weather turned hazardous, so we had to change our travel plans, and the owner was understanding and tried to help. Can't recommend the classic Kiwi hospitality enough. We'll definitely be back.
