There’s a lovely view over the lake, though you can hear the traffic. We were tired travelers and it didn’t bother us much. I had a glass of red, and the missus had a bottle of champagne in the spa tub, so all was good. A gelato vendor set up across the road, and a mobile coffee shop was about 20 metres away. It’s a terrific base for the lake and the two jet boat rides. Take my advice and do both, they’re both good and different.

We’ve stayed at Baywater seven times and always rated it highly. Nothing had ever gone missing before, which made this visit especially disappointing. During a two-hour walk, after leaving my hair product on the bathroom vanity so I could use it again when I got back, the unit was serviced and cleaned. The product was gone when we returned. I raised it with the manager then and again as we were leaving, but they weren’t willing to address it.

The lake is right across the road, so the location is perfect. I’ve been here many times, but it’s no longer open to the public since a work union bought it.
