The outdoor sitting room was a lovely spot to take in the garden and surrounding scenery, and there were towels for the spa and a nice shower. We stayed in the hosts’ adjoining studio and felt comfortable there, with enough separation. They were fantastic, friendly and helpful, and even left us a tasty welcome gift. We could also get a long-overdue load of washing done. The location worked really well: quiet, since it’s outside Taupō centre, but still very close and easy to reach. The kitchen is small but good, with a microwave, kettle, toaster, and tiny fridge for perishables. A few things seemed to need attention, perhaps because the room had been empty for a while: cobwebs and dust, plus curtains that needed care. The bed was shaky, so moving at night risked waking each other.

After a long day hiking, the guest hot tub was just right. We also loved the breakfast, and the hosts were happy to put together an early morning breakfast pack so we could leave for Tongariro. The place feels very homely, with loads of space, and the hosts were lovely. They’d clearly put care into the decor, setup, and what guests might need. One of the best B&Bs we’ve stayed at.

We only stayed one night, but had a great time. The place is nicely positioned in the middle of Taupo, close to the town centre and just a few minutes from the lake. The hosts made us feel welcome and were accommodating. The living area, bedroom, bathroom, and toilet are all separate, spacious, and well appointed. Excellent stay, highly recommend.

Crisp, clean sheets were the perfect way to end the day. This is such a cosy, friendly and welcoming B&B. The hosts are unobtrusive while still being accommodating. It’s close to the town centre, beautiful Lake Taupo, and plenty of other facilities.

Dianne and Warryn made our stay cosy and comforting, and they’re such lovely hosts. We really enjoyed the spa and their delicious scrambled eggs. The customer service and homely feeling were as good as you could hope for, and they made the stay sweet and memorable. ~Sunny and Ribu
