The location was amazing, with everything nearby, including Pak n Save and restaurants. The pool was nice, and the manager kindly brought us pool towels without us even asking, which made us feel welcome. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms very clean and without a nasty chemical smell, and we ended up loving our stay. We'd stay here again. There was a booking mix-up: we had booked a family unit for two adults and two kids through booking.com, but arrived to find a standard room with one double bed and one single. The receptionist said booking.com had cancelled the family room. We were extremely disappointed, though the guy at the desk was friendly and helpful and gave us two rooms. We only used one, since the kids wouldn't sleep separately in another room. The mix-up wasn't the motel's fault.

The room was great, clean and well equipped, with a comfortable bed and a great shower. Staff were friendly, and it was quiet.

When we opened the door, we were amazed by the unit. It was spacious, clean, and set up so well, like a home away from home. The welcome was warm, and they were happy to help with anything. I can't fault this motel complex and would definitely use it again.

Our second stay at the Durham Tauranga, and the service was amazing again. We arrived early because we had an early wedding to get to, and they did a great job making it work. The lovely lady at the counter was so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
