It's close to the beach, but we didn't have a great stay. The upstairs bedroom gets surprisingly loud noise from the A/C unit outside the closed window. The hosts said it was more sensible to turn the pool heating off until the good weather returned, so don't expect to use the pool in late September. The bunk space is indoors and feels more like sleeping in a huge wardrobe with no door, as another rating mentions. Poor value for the price.

We were a family of four, two adults and two kids, plus the grandparents, and the layout worked well. Our family stayed downstairs and the grandparents upstairs. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, modern, and had a fully equipped kitchen. Having a washer and dryer was practical with busy children, but the heated rooftop pool was the highlight. We all enjoyed the ocean and Mt Maunganui views. Shops, a dairy, the beach, and places to eat are handy too. Communication and replies were excellent. Thanks to Helen and Shelley for being responsive about the booking and helpful during our stay. We really appreciated it and will definitely book this little treasure again.

The pool and spa were great, and the apartment was handy for the shops and The Mount. The bunk beds were squeezed into a tiny space, though, and finding street parking was pretty difficult.
