I only stayed the night because my car was having trouble, and Yvonne, the Proprietess, made me feel very welcome. The place was spit spot clean, with little homely touches that meant a lot when I was away from home. It looked picture perfect inside, and out back there was a lovely patio and garden I hadn't expected. Thank you, Yvonne, for giving me a haven when I needed one. Have a Happy New Year.

A short walk gets you into town, and the owners were friendly. The place was so quiet, with a stream running outside and blackbirds singing at dawn. Everything was wonderfully clean, and the paintwork looked bright and new. A great place to stay.

We found this quiet spot down a little lane, close to the town centre. The accommodation was good quality, and the service was impeccable. We had a lovely stay.

Yvonne and Keith were warm, friendly hosts and knew the area and places to visit really well. The chalets were roomy, warm, clean, and very comfortable, with quality equipment and utensils. They had all the things we could need on a trip away, and my wife especially loved the fluffy towels. I have a bad back, and this was the most comfortable bed I've slept in away from home. We also loved the balcony, which catches the sun, and the sound of the stream trickling nearby was instantly relaxing. In our view, this is a fantastic motel and the best we've stayed at in years. It was real value for money compared with the other hotels on our New Zealand trip. If you're looking for somewhere lovely and they have a room available, book Brookby Motel. I'd give it six out of five if I could.

We stayed for three nights and will come back. The welcoming couple let us check in a bit early, no problem. Our room had everything we needed and plenty of extras, including fresh milk each day for tea and coffee. It was very reasonably priced, right beside a lovely bubbling brook. We wanted somewhere quiet away from traffic, and this suited us perfectly.
