We wished we’d booked for longer. The bed was comfortable, the setting was lovely, and the location is handy for getting around town. Breakfast was extremely tasty, just what you’d expect at a first-class establishment. Maryte’s recommendations were spot on, and she knows everything about the area. We had a wonderful stay at this beautifully appointed bed and breakfast and would highly recommend it.

Meeting the owner’s lovely dog Rosie was one of our favourite parts of the stay. She’s such a sweet dog. The house was beautiful even at night, and its lights gave the place an energising feel. My partner and I had an amazing time, with a scrumptious breakfast and a great chat with the owner of this B&B. Thank you, Maryke, for being so kind and welcoming. We’ll definitely stay again.

A great base for adventure, with a fantastic host and breakfast served at a time that suits the guest. The bed was great, and everything seemed thought through to make the stay comfortable. Thanks for all you do, Maryke.

We couldn’t speak more highly of this outstanding B&B. Welcome, room, breakfast, shower, location, it has everything. A quiet break here should be on the list for anyone visiting the Central north island. Five stars plus.

The Tongariro River flows gently beside the property, and the location is very quiet. Absolute Riverside really lives up to its name. It’s a delightful B&B run by a lovely lady who enjoys life. The shower, coffee, and breakfast were amazing, and the bed and linen deserve a mention too.
