The bedroom skylight made it amazing to lie back and see the stars. This gorgeous cottage in the Dark Sky Reserve in Twizel was warm, welcoming, and extremely comfortable. It was quiet and peaceful, surrounded by mountains, and just 45 minutes from Mt Cook, with fabulous eateries in Twizel. Thanks for a memorable stay.

The area just outside Twizel was so quiet and scenic, and we felt really comfortable at Michele and Jim's place. They were wonderful hosts. We were sorry to leave and would happily stay again.

We loved the honey-coloured wood panels with the white and grey fittings, and the place was clean, tidy and well equipped. The leaded-glass furniture might make me nervous around small children. It was also a handy base for visiting Pukaki and Tekapo. This was the best accommodation of our three-week trip around New Zealand.

The hosts made us feel very welcome, and even gave us fresh eggs and milk. The cottage was spacious, clean and thoughtfully designed, with a kitchen stocked with everything we needed. Billy and Mojo, the two very cute dogs, were a lovely part of our two-night stay. We had a fantastic time and would recommend this beautiful spot.

The mountain view was lovely, and there was plenty of room for four even though there were just two of us. The kitchen was fully equipped. We only stayed one night and wished we hadn't had to leave so soon.
