We had plenty of room in the apartment and around the property, and it was really comfortable. The host family were lovely and happy to help. They also provided a BBQ for each apartment, so we could eat outside and enjoy the beautiful view of Mount Cook. Time seems to move more slowly here, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the place.

Katie and Meelika were really nice and helpful. We loved the beautiful decor and the thoughtfully designed rooms, and the huge kitchen and lounge-dining space was great. The mountain views were incredible. The bed and pillows were super comfy, and having power points beside the bed made charging our phones easy. I usually have trouble finding enough outlets at other places. I'd stay here again on my next trip. Thank you, Katie and Meelika!

The shower was so dark I could barely see, and the toilet was fixed shut from one side. That meant it couldn't be used while someone was showering or taking a bath in the bathroom. The cabin also felt old and wasn't very clean, and the cutlery in the kitchen was dirty. We still had to pay 100NZD for cleaning, which left me wondering whether that money was actually going toward cleaning or just ending up in the owner's pockets. The view is nice, but it doesn't justify a price this high for what you get. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

A quiet, lovely house with a retro feel and great views of Mount Cook. It was very clean, and close to Twizel and Mt Cook national park. The owners were helpful without getting in the way, and we couldn't fault the place. Check out the photo of the view from the bedroom window. Highly recommended.
