Silverstream Retreat

The Pillars was a beautiful place for our wedding, with white tablecloths and cutlery set out on the tables, plus a fire outside. Leigh, our event manager, was amazing, very organised and great at communicating. She let us set up the day before, and the reception staff, wait staff and barman were all so helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and got lots of compliments from our guests. We'd highly recommend getting married here ☺️

The accommodation at Silverstream Retreat was a huge help for our out-of-town friends and family, with rooms to suit everyone. We held our April 2025 wedding at the Grasslands venue and couldn't recommend it more. It had everything we wanted for both the ceremony and reception in one place. The events team, including George, Sheree and Leigh, were friendly, responsive and organised, which took away a lot of the planning stress. The platters and buffet dinner were great, and they catered for everyone's dietary requirements. Thanks so much!

Our 3-bed Homestead at Silverstream Retreat was lovely for part of our honeymoon after we married in NewZealand, travelling from Australia. It was a nice surprise to have more room than expected, and the clean, modern interior and gorgeous views were great. We also really appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine to celebrate our marriage. We loved the peaceful setting and the way the old building had been renovated so well. The customer service didn't feel great, though. At the front desk there wasn't much of a welcome or explanation. A site map of what was available at the retreat would've been useful, and we had to go back to ask about breakfast options ourselves. We were disappointed there was no TV in the bedroom and no smart TV in the main lounge, since streaming is something most guests expect these days. Some details felt below the standard of the accommodation. The shampoo and conditioner didn't seem up to scratch. I don't think shampoo can double as hand wash, or conditioner as moisturiser, it seemed like a cheap alternative. The old dishwasher tablets looked deteriorated and crumbled when I picked them up. Having a washing machine was a fantastic bonus, but there was no detergent to use with it. A bit more attention to the details and guest experience would make a big difference.
