The room and view were great, and so was breakfast. Best of all was our lovely hostess Ellie, who we had many enjoyable chats with. Loved our night on the Seabird Coast. Go the “trolley dollies” Ellie!

Our host Ellie was gracious and made us feel at home, offering breakfast and cups of tea. The house is bright and clean, with spacious rooms and the most luxurious beds. It felt like a home away from home, probably even better.

We had a wonderful stay at Ellie’s homestead. She’s warm and welcoming, easygoing without intruding, and genuinely interested in hearing about whatever adventure you’re on. We’d highly recommend staying with her.

Ellie is a fascinating, charming hostess, full of helpful answers and suggestions, from local dining and farmers markets to nature trails and the abundant marine wildlife right on her doorstep. We’ll definitely return, with plenty of bush walks still to do and more evening glasses of wine to enjoy. This delightful country B&B is beautifully furnished, high-end yet very comfortable, and close to Thames and the Coromandel Peninsula. Each morning we had a lovely cooked breakfast. When we returned from exploring the surrounds, Ellie welcomed us with a glass of wine and great storytelling. She’s wonderfully effervescent and so helpful.
