Flaxmere House

The venue itself was beautiful, and the service from the women serving us was great. I did wonder if plates could be passed to the kitchen without going over a guest’s head. The food was fresh but bland, and there wasn’t enough of it. It might work better to set up the buffet after guests have gone outside, instead of while they’re still talking inside. The manager was abrasive and unwelcoming when telling everyone to leave at 9:30 pm. I know that was the agreed time, but she was rude about it. I was there for a farewell.

Vanessa hosted our work conference and went out of her way to make sure we had what we needed. She even paused what she was doing to have a friendly chat. You can feel how much love goes into the property. We spent a few days there, and it felt like a slice of heaven: clean, tidy and beautiful, with divine, high-quality food. No corners cut. 100% recommended.

The beds were comfortable when we stayed for our son’s wedding. Flaxmere House made it feel intimate and lovely, and the food was delicious, all cooked on site.

We knew on our first visit that Flaxmere House was where we wanted to say our I do’s and spend time with the people we love. The venue is stunning, with boutique accommodation and 5-star food. Vanessa and her team were incredible. They went above and beyond to make our day stress free and one we’ll remember for life. They made us and our guests feel like superstars.
