Chris and Lin were very nice, and the breakfast spread was fresh, delicious, and amazing. The room was huge and comfortable, making this a lovely home for a short stay. I was only there one night, but would definitely recommend it for an authentic Bed and Breakfast experience.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Tempest on Wanaka. Our room was cozy and very nice. Chris and Lin made us feel welcome with friendly, supportive, home-style hospitality, and we had plenty of interesting conversations with them. We’d be happy to recommend Tempest on Wanaka to anyone visiting the area.

The property was beautifully presented, with the hosts’ own art and a lovely garden. Our accommodation was very clean and comfortable, with thoughtful little touches like delicious homemade cookies. The hosts were fantastic, welcoming, and knowledgeable, and gave us tips about restaurants and hikes.

We enjoyed sharing experiences over breakfast with our hosts and the other guests. The continental spread was delicious, with homemade breads, preserves, and granola. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a sitting area and a comfortable bed. It’s a ten-minute walk to town, which spared us from hunting for parking downtown when it was crowded. Chris and Lin were friendly and very helpful with suggestions for things to do around Wanaka.

Lin and Chris were lovely hosts, and their home is well situated in Wanaka. Lin is also a very accomplished artist. Her homemade muffins and bread at breakfast made things feel special. We recently stayed there, travelling around New Zealand for a month, and this was the best room and bathroom we had. Loved our stay.
