Gumnut House.

An old-fashioned B&B with generous, comfortable rooms and excellent service, in a beautiful spot. We had a lounge, bathroom and patio area for our private use, and the continental breakfast was excellent. I'd love to come back.

Breakfast was brilliant, and the hosts were lovely. Such a comfortable, wonderful place to stay. Well worth visiting, and highly recommended.

We found the rooms bigger than expected, very clean and well kept, and the location was superb. The owners were friendly, and it was a great spot for some peace and quiet. Maryanne, your breakfasts are so good you should think about serving dinner too!

The accommodation and gardens were beautifully kept, and it’s close to all Whanganui amenities. I was greeted on arrival and there was plenty of secure off-road parking. I woke to freshly brewed coffee and the breakfast Maryann had set out on my table. It’s my first Air BnB in over 5 years that actually included breakfast. Thank you for reminding me why I prefer the home away from home feel of Air BnB over overpriced, overrated motels. I’ll definitely be back, Maryann and Barry. True amazing Kiwi hospitality.”
