The bathroom was big and the shower had great pressure, which I really liked. The receptionist was friendly and helped us choose the best route for the next day's trip. There's a wide choice of restaurants and cafes within walking distance, including Thai, Turkish, and Japanese places along the road; McDonald's and Burger King are right across from the motel. The one downside was hearing voices from the room next door. Thicker walls would make it quieter.

There was plenty of room to put things away, with flat surfaces, drawers, and lots of coat hangers. The room itself was fairly comfortable and quite spacious. Soundproofing could be much better, though. I could clearly hear people partying up the road and someone sneezing in another room.

I like being able to leave the car parked and walk to shops and several restaurants nearby. Midtown Motor Inn is clean, warm, and comfortable, and the staff are all friendly and helpful. For me, it's Midtown Motor Inn every time.

Our backs were sore when we woke up because the bed was softer than we like. The room was okay, but it felt old and wasn't especially clean. It wasn't gross, just definitely not the cleanest. The host was nice and friendly, though.

The rooms are a little dated, but that didn't bother me since they had everything I needed. The staff were fantastic and everything was as promised. I had an absolutely great stay and would recommend Midtown Motor Inn to anyone stopping in Wanganui.
